Mercedes-Benz New Years Reception: World Premiere – The new E-Class – Autonomous driving is getting closer to reality
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will celebrate its world premiere at the traditional New Years Reception on the eve of the North American International Auto Show. The tenth-generation E-Class with a wide range of innovative technologies claims to be the most intelligent business limousine in its class, bringing comfortable and safe driving to a new level. The Active Lane-change Assistant for instance enables car and driver to almost magically change lanes. The new infotainment system with touchpad controller in the center console provides a complete new experience. Clarity and emotion define the design of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, high-end materials the interior. Optional extras include two next-generation high-resolution displays, each with a wide screen diagonal of 12.3 inches – a first in this segment.
Mercedes-Benz and smart Press Conference: World Premiere – The new SLC / Additional technical highlights of the new E-Class
With the premiere of the new SLC at the Mercedes-Benz Press Conference, Mercedes-Benz is kicking off its cabrio offensive 2016. The SLC, formerly known as the SLK celebrates its 20th market anniversary in 2016. Since its market launch 670,000 units of the highly popular SLK were sold. The new SLC comes with significantly optimized technology and an enhanced look. The Mercedes-Benz designers have further stressed the roadster`s sporty look with a newly designed front section. All new is the top of the line Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 as well as the entry-level model, the SLC 180.
At its Press Conference Mercedes-Benz will reveal more technical details of the new E-Class. Here are some of the highlights: The DRIVE PILOT. This system represents Mercedes-Benz`s next step along the road to autonomous driving and the Remote Parking Pilot. For the first time the vehicle can be moved remotely in and out of parking spaces and garages.
