Long Description:
The White Cross is located in Vukovar, Croatia, near the confluence point of Vuka river and Danube. Vukovar is town where the most violent battle occurred during the Croatian War of Independence in 1991. The White Cross is dedicated to the memory of all Croatian soldiers and civilians that died for Freedom and Independence during the war in Vukovar. Croatian pleter and Croatian coat of arms are on the White Cross as ornaments. Inscription on the White Cross says: “To those who fall for free Croatia”, both on Croatian and old Glagolitic alphabet.
