Saturday October 29th we’re hosting the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with a performance by Big Sean 🙂

The response for this party has been fantastic and I wanted to make sure you knew all the details.
▪ The hotel will be decked out in Halloween decorations (20,000 square feet of dungeons and ancient crypts)

Ticket’s for the Roosevelt have gone up in price and will continue to go up leading up to the the big night, BUT…. i have about 40 or so discounted paper tickets left. If you’re willing to pick them up from me in Hollywood you’re going to save over 40 dollars a ticket.

The G20 was created in December 1999 in response to the financial crises affecting the emerging countries in the late 1990s. The initial aim was to have the finance ministers and central bank governors of the industrialised and emerging countries meet once a year to facilitate international economic policy cooperation.

Confronted with the deepest economic and financial crisis since World War II, the G20 went into high gear in late 2008 at the initiative of France, the holder of the rotating EU presidency at the time. What emerged was an economic steering body that brought together the world’s major political leaders at the highest level. At the pioneering Washington Summit in November 2008, heads of States and governments agreed on an extraordinary plan of action to prevent the financial system and the global economy from collapsing.

Story of an Idea

This film, combining colourful animation with recent images, brings to life the history of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement from Henry Dunant and the Battle of Solferino through to today. Ideal for a general audience, the film explains, in simple terms, the meaning of the Geneva Conventions, the universal humanitarian principles underlying the Movement’s efforts and the general activities carried out by the different components, the ICRC, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the National Societies, as they work together to help those in need.

Concert for Bangladesh 40th Anniversary

In 1971 Ravi Shankar asked his friend George Harrison to help his country, which was suffering from the effects of floods, famine and civil war. The resulting Concert for Bangladesh was the first major music benefit concert for a humanitarian cause, raising much needed funding and awareness for UNICEF in Bangladesh.

Today, UNICEF needs the same outpouring of support and awareness to address a humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa, where 2 million children are at risk.

Month of Giving

This August, musicians worldwide pay tribute to George Harrison, Ravi Shankar and the Concert for Bangladesh by asking their friends and fans to help. Participants of the original Concert for Bangladesh – Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, and Leon Russell are joined by legendary musicians like Bob Seger and Jackson Browne and by young artists like UNICEF Ambassador Selena Gomez, Nas, and Jewel.
